Domestic Shipping inside the USA:
We make every possible effort to ship all orders received before 2pm (Pacific Standard Time) the same day. This includes both domestic and international orders. Please note: we are open Monday – Friday so any orders received after 2pm on a Friday will ship the following Monday. All orders will ship either UPS or US Postal Service based on the service you choose during checkout. The UPS pricing you see is tied directly to our UPS account and the rate calculator of the US Postal service. The amount you see is the amount that it costs us to ship you. This is based on your address, some rural areas have a much higher delivery cost. (Please see UPS transit time map for ship time to you)
The US Postal Service pricing is based on the Flat Rate Priority Service rates. This rate is fixed by the cost of the particular box that will be required to ship your parts to you. In other words, if you order a rear sprocket, your only option is the medium flat rate box as a rear sprocket will not fit into a small flat rate box. The small flat rate option is only available for small parts, such as a couple of front sprockets or timing chain tensioners.
You have the choice to select either shipping option. Typically orders going across the country to the east coast are faster using the USPS, whereas orders going to west coast destinations are faster via UPS. Customers in Hawaii or Alaska are encouraged to use the USPS as the rate is drastically less expensive.
International Shipping outside the USA:
The US Postal service is the best option for orders going to international destinations. However, in some parts of the world, the mail system is unreliable. It is up to you to determine if shipping via the postal service is appropriate. Dirt Tricks, Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages; we highly recommend purchasing insurance of all international shipments. UPS is available as an option as well, but you do pay for the excellent service UPS provides. We can also ship on your UPS, DHL or freight service account. US Postal Service Priority International Shipping: Priority international service will typically deliver to most parts of the world in 10-14 business days. There is very limited tracking information on US postal shipment, in many cases there is no tracking information available. The US Postal service contracts with the postal service of your country for delivery. In some cases, you may need to visit your local post/customs office to retrieve your package. All duties, fees and taxes which may be assessed are your responsibility.
Small Flat Rate Box ($23.95 USD) this box has a 4lb weight limit maximum. This should be used for ordering small parts such as a front sprocket or a timing chain tensioner. A rear sprocket, chain or brake rotor will not fit in this box.
Medium Flat Rate Box ($59.95 USD) this box has a 20lb weight limit maximum. This box can hold up to 11 rear sprockets with 10 front sprockets, or about 14 brake rotors. This box is also the best option for shipping a sprocket/chain combo package, or a cooling fan kit.
USPS 1st Class International Service: this option has a 4lb maximum weight limit. This service is the least expensive and economical, but the 4lb weight limit makes this option only available for very small orders. This option would be available for a single front and rear sprocket, or a single brake rotor. The rate varies based on your location and will be calculated during checkout. Ship time is about the same as priority service with a 10-14 business day transit time.
Canada and Mexico: The US postal service offers a slight rate discount for customers in our neighboring countries. (The same weight and dimensional limits apply from above)
